Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
No
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated

Observations

Payette Powder Guides has continued to experience Whumpfing, but it has become more isolated than last week. We dug snow pits on North and West South West aspects, respectively. While we still have poor snowpack structure, the November Persistent Weak Layer is showing signs of rounding and stubbornness to triggering. We got no results in snowpack tests on the North aspect. On the WSW aspect we were still able to get results on the November Persistent Weak Layer, as well as the Storm Slab at the New/Old interface. CTMSPdown32, CTMSPdown31, CTHSCdown100, CTHdown100, PSTEND27/100down100 on November Persistent Weak Layer.
