Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated

Observations

PAC observed on Sgt's, just North of Brundage Resort, Gusty South winds, warmer temps, and a little new snow were enough to make the danger as well as caution level to rise. Cracking and whumping were observed although isolated. Denser warmer snow was failing easily and noticeably thicker while descending on skis. Easy results in ski stomps, mit pits, and test pits in the upper new snow. Moderate results lower in the older interfaces with buried surface hoar well preserved in lower North terrain just above Brundage Reservoir.
