Was quite windy and snowing hard all day. Skin tracks were filling in from wind each lap. Skied some NW facing low angle train to be safe given the weather. Travelled extremely cautiously keeping to the tops of ridgelines. Dug a pit on a similar aspect and elevation to the terrain we skied.
Pit dug at approximately 10:50 AM
NNW facing on a 28 degree slope
Snow depth ~195 cm
Observed questionable layer at ~135 cm and another at 70 cm, facets in in the bottom 40 cm of snowpack
Column test resulted in 12 @ 135 cm
PST 90 cm failure, 100 cm long column length @ 135 cm
