Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Weak freeze and a warm morning had the snow getting soft early today. I traveled on south and southwest aspects. The snow in thin area was nearing isothermal conditions when snow depths were less than 2 feet. Good timing with a ski descent at 11:30 from 6700’-5500’. This timing will likely be late tomorrow. I would expect more wet slide activity this week.

Getting ready to head out, just before noon I heard but did not witness the wet slab avalanche on slick rock.
