Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Went for a the nick peak gully after the high pressure. Conditions started out perfect, 3'' of dust on baked snow (CTH @ 71 x2-ECTN x2). As we booted up the gully we hit a transition at about 8200 feet where the snow had not been baked and consisted of dry loose unconsolidated snow (CTE @ 20cm). Called it there and skied out. Seems as though it needs a little more time to stabilize.
