Observed Avalanches

Did you observe any avalanches?
Yes
Avalanche Type:
Hard Slab
Size:
Size 4: Could destroy a railway car, large truck, several buildings, or a substantial amount of forest
Elevation:
7,500'
Aspect:
N
Comments:
2nd had info is that 3 slides hit the road. These paths ran in 2014 and 2019 during rain on snow events. Weather unknown for this event but there were reports of rain at yellow Pine and in the area.
Trigger or avy type is unknown. I assumed hard slab or possible wet slab? Full track (R5) and across the East Fork and up the other side. These paths run 2,000' vertically. Hopefully more details will follow.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

I posted this as a heads up that some large natural (assumed) avalanches have and can possibly occur. Date and time are unknown but very recent.
