A team of guides/instructors from Payette Powder Guides remotely triggered a D1.5 avalanche today. The avalanche ran approximately 50 feet wide by 200 ft long. It failed on the 1/26 interface, approximately 18" down.

A team of guides/instructors from Payette Powder Guides observed a skier-triggered avalanche in the Surprise path. The avalanche was intentionally triggered. It was approximately 100 feet wide and approximately 400 feet long. It ran on the 1/26 interface. There was visible surface hoar on the bed surface.
