Snow pit results (Jan 28):
HS = 175 cm, W aspect at 7325', 22 degree slope.
CT2 (PC) down 15cm, CT12 (SP) down 27 cm on buried surface hoar from 1/21, CT20 (RP) down 65 cm on old facet weak layer.

Weak layer down ~ 30cm was not visibly obvious during hand hardness obs. Obs match forecast for Saturday.

3" of new soft wind slab on W and SW slopes above 7000' in exposed areas. See photo.

Jan 28 (Sat) Mostly overcast, slightly broken skies, ~20F, S-1 snowfall w/ 1" accumulation during day. Light WSW winds changing to Northerly in late afternoon.
Jan 29 (Sun) - Clr, ~0 F, no snow, but 12" accumulation over past 3 days, with 1" settlement. Light to Moderate NW to NE winds; gusts drifting snow on ridgetops, but not at elevations below 7500' during day.
