FPAC Seeking A New President!

Job Description: Board Member – President/Board Chair

Organization: Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center (FPAC)

Location: McCall, Idaho, or surrounding areas

Position Type: Volunteer

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join and lead our Board of Directors as President/Chair of the Board. As the leader of this board, you will help shape the future of avalanche safety and education and support the PAC by driving fundraising efforts and organizing engaging community events. FPAC is an all-volunteer organization with no paid Executive Director. The Board President therefore serves as both the chief governance leader and the primary volunteer executive — setting strategic direction, leading operations between board meetings, and serving as the organization's principal point of contact with the USFS, partner organizations, and the public. This is a working leadership role with a meaningful time investment, particularly during the winter season.

Time Commitment:

● As much as 20-30 hours per winter month, depending on events and initiatives.
