Observed widespread propagating fractures through all elevations. Natural slides occurred during the storm cycle that do not appear human triggered. Several avalanches that appear human triggered within the last 24 hours in terrain closed for safety. These avalanches had fracture initiation points 24" in depth and ran full lenght of the chutes leaving slab debris against trees and below. These avalanches were large enough to bury, kill, or injure a person.
Patrol requests people do not duck closures and stay out of closed terrain while they continue mitigation work. Violators will lose resort privileges.
Avalanche mitigation utilizing explosives in known avalanche routes on 12/1/22. Unable to observe results until 12/3/22 due to conditions. Observed dry loose avalanches that ran full length of the chutes post mitigation.
Additionally, rumbling whumfing traveling through snowpack in low angle 10 to steeper 35 degree terrain was noted.
Some of the activity is very obvious in the photographs some is not.
