Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

PAC toured up Diamond ridge under gusty SSW winds Thursday 12/22. Snowpit tests were positive, showing strength. Facets are rounding and Crusts are degrading or breaking down. We felt good and skied a 35 degree North and a West aspect. Snow was being transported, and the surface was slabby in exposed terrain and nice and soft in the protected trees.

We did not see any other signs of instability but lurking early-season obstacles like rocks and wood.
