Observations

Monday the 20th, there was about a foot of new snow and the road was freshly groomed Sunday...We dug on North and East aspects and found 6-7 feet of total snow. The winds were blowing moderately out of the South and densifying the upper snowpack making for slightly boggy trail-breaking. We skied the East aspect of South Bruin...coverage was good above 7500 feet, but lower there were a lot of logs and obstacles near the road.

Stability tests showed moderate compression scores in the upper soft unconsolidated snowpack and hard or strong results lower on our suspect facet crust combinations. We had anExtended column test and a propigation saw test that both lacked propigaton... ECTN and a PST 40/130 Arr.
