Several days of precipitation and winds steady in the mid 20mph range with gusts over 50 mph rapidly loaded all Northerly terrain.  This photo was taken 4 days after the slide.  We saw similar but newer avalanches in the same layer on similar aspects nearby triggered by failing cornices.
