DESCRIPTION:In this AIARE Level 1 you will learn how to prepare for a backcountry trip\, understand basic decision making in the field\, and learn rescue techniques.\n\nWe are stoked that you’re interested in expanding your avalanche knowledge and we want to prepare everyone so that the course runs smoothly and is most beneficial. Although there is some classroom time we are going to have both in-class and field sessions so be prepared for both environments and for quick changes in between. Make sure your snowmobile is in good shape so that mechanic time isn’t a distraction because we are looking to ride about 20 miles per day for day 2 and 3.
