Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Rapid warming and extensive wind loading after last storm. Both of these avalanches failed in wind loaded terrain with buried surface hoar. Surface hoar was present in crown of slide on West Ridge.  I did not inspect the crown of the avalanche on the skin route between the resort and the top of Sarge.  Snow was still sensitive enough to release above crowns under the weight of my skis.

Any other comments about the observation or links to outside pages that have more info on the observation:

Generally improving stability but lingering instabillity on wind loaded slopes where weak layers are present.  Still making conservative terrain choices.
