More detailed information about the snowpack: 

HS 230 cm, 8000 ft., 10 degree aspect, 38 degree slope Tair 1C, Tsurf -1C, T20 -8C.  20cm of Fist hard, unconsolidated, weak snow atop 4F snow grains, lower pack below 190cm appears to be transitioning towards isothermal with 1F rounds

Variety of crusts on all aspects other than North, toured on North through W through SW aspects, supportive crust while skinning, not supportive while boot packing, West shot back down to the road was super fun with good all around spring conditions from top to bottom. Tried to upload photos, unsuccessful (technology).

Broken/overcast skies kept the snow surface cool until the early afternoon, slightly above freezing at 8200 ft., calm wind with light gusts out of NW, clouds started breaking around 1500 and temps rose
