More detailed information about the snowpack: 

    Traveled to Granite Lake area.   Moderate snowfall all day.   Moderate winds above 6500 feet.   There was significant wind transfer.  Open meadows and Granite Lake itself had pretty good drifting.  Hills northeast of the lake began to show signs of wind slab formation. Initially,  storm snow was failing on last week's surface hoar but the storm snow was not a slab.   Wind appears to be making this storm snow into a slab.   We did see signs of cracking on hill cuts.   No collapsing was observed.   I would expect leeward slopes to be areas to avoid.
