More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Good storm conditions throughout the day,  S1 precip with light SW winds at and below treeline. Mid afternoon snow turned to freezing rain for about an hour and coated most aspects and elevations in the Goose Lake area with a slight zipper. Turned back back to snow late afternoon! Upper 40 cm of pack had some slab properity to it but not enough energy to release. The failures we did get were a little further down in the pack on an older rain layer/ small grain facet interface.
