More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Some photos of impressive surface hoar today.  Most aspects were covered in it but south aspects got enough heat to break it down.  It remains on northerly aspects.  More of a potential future red-flag.  As Tremper says “kind of like placing an Oldsmobile on a layer of potato chips”  Well the potato chips are here….We will have to wait to see if we get the Oldsmobile.

Rain line in this area was 6,400'

My guess is moderate hazard.

Most southerly and sun exposed aspects were damp and will have a crust tomorrow.

Primary red flag would be wet snow slides with the forecasted warm weather tomorrow.
